Rebuilding onboarding so customers activate without CS
Every new Aampe customer needed hours of white-glove setup from Customer Success. I redesigned the onboarding flow into guided, self-serve steps that let customers connect their data and launch their first agent on their own.
Overview
Aampe's activation moment — first agent shipped, first message sent — required a Customer Success engineer to walk every new customer through data connection, event mapping, and reward configuration over multiple calls. It worked, but it didn't scale, and it kept the platform gated on human availability.
I redesigned the onboarding flow into a guided, self-serve path: connect data source, validate events, pick a goal, preview the first audience, launch. Each step reveals just enough of the underlying system for the customer to make a confident decision without needing a handholder.
