Dover Corporation
A global manufacturing conglomerate where factory operators were learning 3D assembly procedures from 2D printed paper manuals. I helped design CDS Mentor, an interactive training platform built around manipulable 3D CAD models, evolving through 8 major design versions across 10 weekly sprints and tested with operator teams in Germany and across Europe.

Replacing paper manuals with interactive 3D training
The problem
Dover's European factories trained operators with printed paper instructions and 2D drawings for 3D assembly work. Pages were misplaced mid-procedure, minor revisions meant reprinting full batches, and managers had no way to see whether someone actually understood a step or just flipped past it.
How I solved it
Across 10 sprints and 8 design versions, I helped design CDS Mentor: an interactive training platform built around manipulable 3D CAD models, with annotations layered directly onto parts, per-step tools and time tracking, and in-procedure comprehension checks. We usability-tested with operator teams across Russia, Germany, and China and iterated on what they asked for.
Impact
Operators stopped flipping between paper and the floor and started learning against the actual object they were assembling. Trainers got real visibility into where steps stalled. The system shipped responsively across desktop, tablet, mobile, and HoloLens, replacing the entire paper-based training pipeline.
